Err, don't have and never owned a Fiat! My wife has however just ordered a 500 1.2 Pop - Bossa Nova, Dark Grey/Black, Chrome Kit and Body Coloured Mirrors amongst other things. Apparently, the dealer has never ordered a 500 with the Black ambience. She is still recovering from the shock of having to wait up to 15 weeks for delivery!
The car's refinement and space impressed me the most during the test drive. My wife was hooked after 20 yards, even though she was determined not to like the car. "Buy a Fiat? No way!" You can still see the scars of her encounter with the inside of a 600 in '71.
I have probably been trying to buy a Fiat since the launch of the original Panda back in 1980(!), but for one reason or another Fiat never seemed to quite provide what I was looking for. I will probably be in the market for a Punto GP 1.4 16v next year. I guess the closest I came to buying a Fiat was an Alfasud 1.3Ti I owned during the early '80s, a car that still haunts my dreams!

Your wife's 500 sounds very similar to mine... good choice! The black ambience will work really well with the darker seats. I like the black and white contrast.

We have never owned a Fiat before, however our 500 has been great - it's a hoot to drive, cheap to run and we are even taking it to Italy in a few weeks.

The Ivory Ambience is clearly very popular, but when we added up all the colours the interior could have we just decided to keep it simple. We have always preferred a darker interior anyway. Although of course, it is very much down to personal preference.

It's interesting that you should mention taking your 500 to Italy. I remember Custom Car magazine driving a 500 to Turin and back over a weekend during the winter of '71(?). It has always struck me as a cool thing to do.
