Technical Er.......what's this wire for????

Hi,

Just literally ripped the crummy old Clarion CD player someone left in a 2001 Seicento Sporting (the cage was jammed so it was a near "prise it out" situation). Just noticed amongst the wiring one plug that was'nt connected to the stereo. Its a small black female plug with two small connectors in it and only one wired to a red/yellow cable. Any ideas what this is for????

Has it been dislodged from something?

Eeekk! Got a new Sony Xplod CD receiver coming and I don't wanna break anything.

Is the heated rear window switch working ? it is the only red/yellow cable i can see.

Yep I think so. I pressed it in and it clicked on and lit up (the switch light), plus I don't think the cable would be long enough to plug into the switch.

Is it for accesories then?

I had a male connector round the back of my ex sony unit that was for the steering colum mounted controls.
