Technical Engine swaps

Hi,
Say i was to buy a 3 door uno 1.0 IE... That would be a 45BHP model correct?
Well what options to i have to swap over easily for a bigger powerful engine - maybe the 1.3 uno 75 engine? thats 75 BHP isnt it? I dont want to put the turbo lump in it yet because i cant afford it.

I was considering buying a cinq and putting a 1242 in it (from the punto 60), but like uno's too much. So want to do a similar thing to an Uno - alhtough it'd have to be a 3 door (so mine will have to go).

And of the transplant engines, what modding options to i have? Bigger throttle body, induction, uprated cam, exhausts etc...?

So, options people... (topic to get your teeth into).

alright mate, find a 1.4 sx uno and use the engine out of that. its basicly the same engine as my uno turbo but without the turbo (and i mean basicly lol)

but you can get cams, pulley etc for this engine and they are 85bhp (i think)

Put a 1242 in it, thats the simplest i think.

For an extra 15bhp on the 1242 maybe not worth it, although with 40mm throttle body, punto 75 cam and correct induction / exhaust it should poke alot more.

Anyone got a punto 60 engine & box spare

Nah - buy a 3 door non turbo that’s the 70 or injection (re-bagged) 1.4 iE. I’d go for the SX trim, but 3 door 1.3 or 1.4 Unos are rare.

I've been keeping my eye out for a while, and I’ve only seen 2 for sale in the last 6 months.
