engine problems

my 1996 1.9td bravo engine has just packed in and i have been succesful in locating a replacement, however the new engine is a 1999 1.9jtd, could anyone tell me if it will fit into the car and onto the old gearbox. ta

The JTD is the new common rail diesel engine and yours however is the old Turbo Diesel engine.

I doubt very much that it will work unless you take everything from the donor car, including wiring loom, ECU, air filter, MAF sensor etc etc. Basically everything.

Also is your old diesel engine a TD75 or TD100?
