Hi all, I have a small dilema with top-up only engine oils.

We have 4 cars, all different makes. I can find a Comma oil that suits 3 of them just fine, the details are :-
Comma X-Tech 5w30, ACEA A5, B5, API, SL, CF.

The odd one out is a Peugeot 207 1.4 Sport which requires :-
Comma Syner G 5w40, ACEA A3, B4, API, SM, CF.

Oil experts.... Is it false to assume the X-Tech is good enough for the Peugeot 207? Or would the Syner G be good for the other 3?

All are petrol engines 2006 & up in age, a 1.6 Hyundai i30, a Kia Picanto 1.0 & a Suzuki Swift 1.3.

I'd like to buy just one type of oil top up....

Right, for anyone else in the same or similar predicament I suggest the Opie Oils site. Using the data they have I see that A5 SM is a later spec & backward compatible with A3 SL

So I have chosen Fuchs Titan XTR Full Synthetic 5W30 £25 for 5 litres which will be good for all 4 cars.

Its been running around with some old oil she found in her mates garage all year Chris... god knows what it was but still runs sweet & passed the MoT OK.

Its just top-up oil anyway, she can like it or lump it IMO.... :)

Ordered! £24 delivered, cant be bad.

I have no links commercially or otherwise to Opie Oils, but I'd suggest you look in at the great value products they have, you may be surprised, they dont only do Oils... (y)
