engine noise

When driving, my punto active 8v, is making a whistling noise. When i stop the whistling stops. Anyone got any ideas of what this could be?

And stop? You mean stop the car with the engine running or?

Interference with the alternater can cause this through the speakers. Does it do it with just the throttle? Stationary or not?
