Hi all, one of the engine mounts gave up on my Uno today, its the one right at the back of the engine, I can see a metal bar attached to the engine, and a bolt where it used to be attached. I've not had a chance to jack it up properly, but the rac guy did and said I need a new engine mount.

I've tried looking on eper, but am on my phone, and doesn't always display properly. Could anyone figure out the part numbers for me please? Its the 1.7 diesel.

Cheers, Ed.M

So it's a gearbox to floor mount. Is it the metal structure from the gearbox that has snapped or just the circular rubber part that has disintegrated allowing it to hang down a bit?

I can still see the metal bar comming off the gearbox, so I'm guessing its just the rubber mount...
Sorry for size, wanted to crop ad shrink but phone is playin up, this is the view down the back of the engine...

There is a couple on ebay i think but they do look slightly different from each other so not sure which one you will need for the diesel.

I think its pretty much the same mount as used on the uno turbos.

Heres the first cheaper one, this one looks slightly different to what the uno turbo uses, maybe its a diesel one?

And here is the style mount the uno turbo uses, not sure of the difference really maybe its just the rubber part design is different but they both proberly fit the same i would of thought?

The above ones are a bit over priced, i got one from lcp for £17 for an uno turbo so maybe its worth trying them to see what they come up with for the diesel.

Cheers mate, they looks slightly different though, got my one off today, just the bolt sheared in the middle of the rubber:

After being told 'good luck' by every motor factors I tried, I took the old mount to an engine re-builders/engineers, in the hope that they could get the old bolt/stud out, as I had a very limited amount of tools with me.

I left it with them, then got a voice-mail saying 'I had a look at your mount, but its probably not worth the bother to try and get that bolt out...' my heart sank a bit...

But then it was followed by 'especially as a new unit will only cost you about £18'

Very quickly rang them up, and said I doubt they will be able to get one as its NLS, couple of clicks on his computer and he said one of their suppliers has one, it should be there tomorrow!

Result!

Fingers crossed I will have a new mount tomorrow!
