So what are the best engine mods for an uno turbo and what sort of power can you get out of them?

theres plenty u can do to em mate. just depends how big ur wallet is hehe. saying that they ain't too much to mod
mines currently running a little low on power cos of fueling. only running 160bhp @ 9 psi and my mods are
T2 hybrid
polished/ported/skimmed head
lightened balanced fly wheel
huge front mounted intercooler
arbarth steel billet cam
piper pulley + belt
larger forged pistons
spresso racing head gasket
dump valve
samcos hoses
spitfire plugs + leads
scorpion exhaust
induction kit
adjustable boost set to 9 psi
few other bits too but can't think!
when i get my 5th injector, fse boost valve, t28 hybrid turbo, unichip remap saab 9000 injectors and whack the boost up to 22 psi i should be well over 200bhp.....hopefully around 220-230!!
why? u thinking of getting one mate? if so, they are becoming rare and a goodun is hard to find!

i recorded 160 with mine with standard charge cooler and injectors!
got a hybrid to give it some proper kick but its gonna get 5th injector and grs custom front mount intercooler.. what else after? who knows the size of your wallet is the limit!

I never really understand people who spend such huge amounts for smallish power increases. Surely the money could be better spent on a much nicer car with more power as standard?!
personaly i wouldn't have any other car. i love my mk1 turbo and it nails most other cars and it doesn't cost much to get a uno turbo to be quick.. there quick standard and cost f**k all..

But which one will drive and handle better? Exactly.
There's nothing wrong with my uno and I am sure you love yours and I am not saying spending small money to get large increases is a good idea if that is what floats your boats but IMO I would buy a higher performence car in the first place.
You will eventually get newer cars and love them exactly the same the two of you, that's the way it goes.
Another thing to understand is that although the power/weight ratio is improved, the overall strength of the car isn't and the way the power is handelled; hence why it doesn't make a 190BHP a better car than a 400BHP BMW.

he didn't say it "made it a better car"
but a 200bhp would be keeping up with a m5 no probs and half the insurance money hehe. plus if i bought a m5 i'd then start modding that so what ever car i'd have i'd start modding!

u can get them from demon tweeks, about £50 i think. really good tho 
what happened to the cinq in pic? swap it for a uno turbo?

No m8 still got it, its in the bodyshop being restyled, but it is only a 899cc and really slow. i`m used to much more powerfull cars and want to do something with the cinq [}]

Thats the plan m8 but i cant afford it at the mo so i`m going to fit a cinq sporting engine for now as i have one in a smashed sporting out the back.
But the U T engine will be going in soon, the car is in the bodyshop now having a bit of freshen up.
Already got new 15" alloys and better suspension setup ready for the power of the U T.

Paul. I think it has to do with enthusiasm. Some call it madness, I call it enthusiasm. It becomes a hobby, and having a hobby is a great thing. It can pull you through a heavy day at work, knowing you have a hobby you love at home. It costs money, sure, but when the money are split between alcohol, girls AND a 3rd hobby it's great. It's a terrible waste using all your money on alcohol and girls, when you can have SO much longer lasting fun in a high powered little car.
