Punto (Mk2/2b) engine missfire i think

hi all and hello , just bought my lad a 1.2 , 2006 punto and took it for a drive , it seems to be missing when accelarating , im kinda thinking spark plugs or fuel filter , dont know when it was last serviced and have found which i think is a '' coil pack'' ....black box with multiplug and four ports from it .... which got me thinking , is this the old one , or has the previous owner got this as a replacment and not fitted it ??... help and suggestions would be gratfully sought as im not very well informed when it comes down to cars ,

would i be better starting off with changing spark plugs to see if that solves the problem , and what spark plugs do i get ,

Assuming the EML light is on you'd be better doing a code read. Any old OBD2 reader (plenty on eBay for less than £20) should do fine.

Doesn't sound like a coil pack, post a pic.

A service would be a good idea, motor factors will point you at the right plugs, leads, etc., when you give them the registration number.

Fuel filter would be bottom of my list

thanks for the quick replys guys, there are no lights on , and think im going to get it checked over , service wise , this is whats in the cars boot , got pic from e-bay
