Hi all, back again after fixing the initial problems of my bravo, but it seems a lot more things are coming to haunt me.
Firstly my petrol sounds like a diesel, this is commonly caused by a rattling engine I've heard. And in this case a ticking noise has also come about, making me fear the worse I guess. It almost feels like one individual piston is slowly clapping out, but we'll see what you guys think.
Also on cold starts there is a very distinct loud screech, the car uneasily rests below idol (around 600 revs), shaking a lot before after around a few seconds finally coming to life. in this time you can also hear the diesel sounding engine. This screech only happens on cold starts and I've heard it soften due to slippage of the belt, so need to increase the tension? If so it was only replaced a sort while back (few months) so I'll take it back to that garage and make sure they own up to an error on their part.
Would be great to hear what you lot think, cheers
PS. Bloody right front wheel is still screeching when turning left, makes me think the wheel is lose as pressure outwards must be causing the brake protector to scrape against the brake disk. should I just rip it off :bang:
Thanks for all replies, louis
