Introduction
Is this normal for the engine/gearbox mount, there seems to be alot of play involved?

Its fine for an element of play in all directions. Its the same range of moevement in the engine mount
it stops the left to right and up and ddown
The underside gearbox mount stops the engine rocking/swinging in the mounts
If its heavily cracked and drooping under its own weight id be tempted to get a 2nd hand one

I have checked for cracks etc and found none so put it back on.
