this may sound stupid.... so feel free to shoot me down if it does...

got a 1.2 bravo 16v. it comes with a plastic cover over the engine that you take off if you need to get to the engine....

im thinking about painting up the engine bay all nice. but... theres no point with this engine cover on.

isit ok to just run with the engine cover off? i mean... i gues it doesnt do too much. except keep hot heat out of the engine bay.

i have an enclosed induction kit with cold air feed... so that shouldnt be a problem.

any info....?

its purely for looks take it off. but its not a cool as you think it looks with it off!

Ive taken it off before... loads of times..

and i think i prefer it off. especially if i painted up the engine.

doesnt look to bad cos ive changed leads to spit fire... so gives abit more colour.

also... would look pretty stupid if i just painted the engine cover itself... dont ya think?

no not really, thats what u dud i kept the fiat badge black and the 16v bit black and i painted rest blue, if you spray the metal bits in silver to make them look fresh again it will look good, i think its neater with the cover on too.

how much was the leads i think i need some!
