ok u heard it a billion times and here we go again....

think of a conversion... 2.4 jtd... ok now heres the thing... i know u say u need blah blah blah and crap but.... if i bought a 2.4 Jtd marea will it have every thing i need to do the job... cos i found 1 dirt cheap low millage, thinkin of getting it and garage it till next year...

any help will be appricated

nige trust me wat can go wrong unscrew the old 1 drop it out.... grease the new 1 up and shoe horn it in.... bit of duct tape and sprinkler hoses wat more do i need for the conversion... lol

yes i would take it to nige.. looking for the big 200 bhp lol or am i dreaming

boot build will be done soon but more... well i cant have a car and not enter city much longer been looking at hydrollic suspension its £1500 fitted but it weights a ton.... i need to get in to multi story car parks...and this will be the only way... also heavier engine will lower the front so i can counter act it.... plus bounce changing the wheel will mean no more jack needed... as i cant get it under the car anyway... maxed cars really anoy menoe i never thought he would be so hard.... and annoying...

you could get airbags instead of hydraulics, cheaper i think.

you could also just get a coilover kit so you can adjust the height.

i can get the original fiat jack under mine and still jack it up?

i've just put HGT Springs on mine to compensate weight of engine.

lol coil overs can u see me getting to a speed bump getting out with the spanner and cranking it up then lowering the other side... hmm airbag i like the sound of but it aint gonna bounce is it... lol i want to bounce it...

where do u mount the jack... i cant get it under full stop..... tried a trolley jack it goes under but hits side skirt before gettin the metal...

will a 2.4 physically fit?
the 2.0 lump is shoe horned into the slightly bigger hgt bay, and ram packed into anyone whose done a conversion on a smaller model.

I would just keep the Marea, Sell your Brava, and use the money for modding it...

Just think how much ICE you could fit in the boot, and still have plenty of room for the pie eating wife and kids

Even if you get hydraulics, £1500 is likely to be the bottom end of the market. If you want it to bounce and go side to side, etc... you'll have to pay at least 3 or 5 times that figure i would have thought.

Go for air bags.

i dont nderstand airbags... r they adjustable like hydrllics... cos i want it slammed at show low when driving and then high when in city to get over th bumps and get in the multistory

But with either hydraulics/air suspension your handling is going to go down the drain. Forget ever driving it quickly again.

yeah, airbags/hydraulics are not performance mods, they are just for styling.

air bags are literally what they are called, normally a couple of airbags that can be blown up or let down, so you don thave as much adjustment as hydraulics but still have 2/3 different settings. .

i think, i may be wrong! lol

coilovers you could set them at reasonable height for everyday driving, then if there is a show one weekend or anythgin just drop it down, and they will be a lot better for handling!
