Technical Engine Control System Failure

Hi guys

i have a seicento sx on a Y (2001) reg, When ever i seem to fill the fuel tank up with petrol the engine control system light appears on the dash board

this is a constant amber light

any ideas of how i can get rid of this?

add a bottle of comma or forte fuel injector cleaner to the next tank of petrol, then never use asda fuel

Other supermarkets are available and their fuel can be a bit poor.

However, it could be the vapour trap thats flashing up the reading.

Really need to get it 'read' to be sure.

Ma dad had a look at it

he aint a really a car fixer guy

he put some oil in and the problem seems to have cleared up. But if it was oild would the oil light come on?

i used Tesco petrol.

how do i use this fuel cleaner stuff and can i use the car the same day??

you just put it in petrol tank and drive as normal

if i fill the car up, and about 10mins can i still put the cleaner in?

This has been happing for a while, cant be supermarket's fuel. coz filled up at a BP station and tesco's

when the lights come on. i stop the car and go back home. a few hours later it goes off and whenever i drive could be anytime it comes back on

no you buy the bottle, put it in at petrol station then fill up as you fill up it will help it mix in
