Hi all,
I'm after some help please. I know this topic has been covered in depth but I've tried all of the usual fixes and I'm still stumped.
I've purchased a Fiat 500L (1.3 diesel, 2014) and am really struggling with a bizarre problem.
The car is throwing up stop start unavailable, an engine management light and has gone into limp mode a few times.
It no longer goes into limp mode but the check engine light & start stop issue remain.
So far I have:
- replaced the ambient temperature sensor
- replaced the battery
- replaced the alternator
- replaced the oil pressure solenoid
- replaced both oil pressure sensors
- replaced the main earth cable
- replaced the intelligent battery sensor (on the negative terminal)
- checked for wiring breaks in the passenger door connector (there was some corrosion but I couldn't see any obvious breaks in the cables). I applied contact cleaner etc to the connector
The car occasionally runs fine, and the alternator will put out around 13.7 volts when driving.
More often than not, the voltage when driving will be around 12.09 volts, and the Management light / stop start unavailable will come on within 10 minutes of driving.
Bizarrely, when I hook the car up to an OBD scanner, the voltage will remain low until i begin running a live scan / data read, at which point the voltage will begin fluctuating.
The codes im getting on a scanner are:
P0658-6A : intelligent alternator module performance.
P1541-22 : variable displacement oil pump pressure stuck - signal amplitude > maximum.
B1928-15 : average radiant temperature sensor (left side) short circuit to battery or open circuit.
B1022-64 : rear wiper park contact - signal plausibility failure.
Has anybody come across, and resolved a similar issue in the past?
I feel like I'm really hitting a brick wall with logical "next steps"
