Hi Guys,

A friend came round today to look at my electric windows and central locking as they were both not working! we found the fuses and the relays for both. Both fuses had blown so we replaced them.

The central locking now works however as soon as we turned the ignition on the fuse for the electric windows popped! We got another fuse and the same thing happened!

we know the electric windows motors are ok because we wired a battery to the wires and they mooved up and down but we are now stuck as to why the fuse keeps blowing?!?!?

anyone got any ideas as this is obviously the cause of them not working!?

Thanks

We suspected that but could't locate it - where would it be for that circuit?

Under each side of the dash is a set of connector blocks. Disconnect the looms for both doors and check. Then reconnect one at a time until you find which one pops the fuse.

Once that is established, you can take the door cover off and disconnect the three internal connectors one at a time until you find the wire with the problem. It spossibly a live thats trapped in a door jamb.

Cheers

D
