Electric window rollup question.

Hi Guys,

I wondered if anyone has ever done this or knows how it might be done...

My drivers side window rolls up all the way without further input from the button if you hold the button up for a couple of seconds.
The passenger window does not do this.
Has anyone ever made the passenger window behave like this or does anyone know how to.

All the switches appear to be identical so i'm guessing this has something to do with relays.

Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers,

Ed

I seem to remember someone has done it and yes, it was just a case of nicking a drivers side relay from a scrapper and replacing the passenger one.

Cheers, where are the relays for the windows? Behind the glove box?

Ohh im glad you asked about the relays Ed because i was gonna ask where to find them, My passenger window only works when it wants to this week and i use that instead of the drivers side window.

The window relay's behind the glovebox...If there's problems with the passenger window working intermittently, use some silicone spray...if it buggers up completely and you've tried the spray, maybe change the fuse(s) first before poking around relays?

Must be a bugger having to reverse into 'Pay on exit' car parks.

Right well i've studied the wiring digrams in haynes and had a play behind the glove box. The relay for the electric windows is the big green relay. There is only one relay controlling both windows. Unless there is a model which has a relay that does "one-touch-rollup" on both windows, i'm a bit stuffed.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Ed

my car doesn't do this at all but a coutesy car I had did. Is it possible for my bravo to do of somehow????

If im not mistaken the MK2 Bravo has a black cassette type box behind the glovebox and this is where the window relays sit. Therefore its not possible to add it.

Do a search its been asked before.

Ed, I think the cassete type box is reffered to a multi relay unit, ie several within one box unti mate
