Ebay oddity?

Heya guys, does anyone know if some of the late model 51 plate brava/o's got marea face lifts? including wings and bumpers as item 270675105863 on ebay is just that. The worst it could be was a full front end cut n shut i guess. Also theres a tatty looking HGT with fiatboo stickers on the bay today on a different auction.

if it were me after it,id do a vin check on it.brava's dont come with wider wings and poly headlights.it has a full front end put on it by looking at that.

yes definately not standard looks like a 1.2 with a marea bumper headlights and wings
some people do change them to change the look but i agree probably front end damage and someone has got that lot from the breakers to save respray costs

Now normally a 1.2 wouldnt even tempt me but the front is exactly what i wanted to do to my 1.6 brava as the wider marea wings would take my 19" tsw alloys. The rears only needed a tiny bit of lip rolling but the fronts just werent big enough even with all liners removed.

just do it to your 1.6 its only wings and bumper and headlight change all bolt off and on again should be able to do it in a few hours. there no other difference or changes

and a 1.2 would be well slow with 19s on i would convert your own the 1.2s are not all that quick anyway and people do seem to have more trouble with them i think than the 1.6

Ive had hgt 15" alloys (195-55-15) and 17" tsw alloys (205-40-17) on and both never changed speedo readings whilst using sat nav to verify.
Now my 19" tsw (215-35-19) bolt up fine but can only go straight at the mo. However due to the sidewall being even lower the possible difference will be tiny until your over the 100mph mark according to the rolling radius guide found on google. And id love to just change the bits on mine, but what are the chances of finding them in my colour and dent free?.

depends on your colour if it blue try kee he is breaking a marea so he might have all parts needed????

Regarding your wheels it is true that upping from 195/55R15 to 205/40R40 there is such a minimal difference in overall circumference that with a speedo reading 70mph you are actually doing about 70.04mph. Going to the 215/35R19 size however is a much larger step as an indicated speedo reading of 70mph would have you actually going along at 74.42mph.


 Which as explained to me long ago at the local MOT station would make your speedo reading illegal as they are allowed to have a little positive tollerence, i.e. reads 70mph but your actually doing 69mph but not the other way around.
