Just found out that my dodgy earthing connection for my amp is what has caused it to stop giving any sound to the sub. Looks like ive knackered the amp aswell now. Anyone reccommend a good point in the boot cause i cant see 1. Also: if you have an amp: did you weld the point?

i didnt fit my amps, but afterwards i looked at where the rear seats where (i got a hole rear build).
Any how the negative was screwed into a bolt that was under the seats, i think it is on the the ones where the seat clicks onto when the seats are down (next to the middle seat belt holding bolt i think).
Sorry not that clear. tho.

taking apart

take apart the plastic trim along the back of the boot (nearest the back of the vehicle) and there is an earth point for the rear lights there, use a nice big ring crimp and it will work nicely. als there is a access point for the top of the fuel tank in the floor on the driverside but i wouldnt suggest putting spark related thingies near that.

good luck.

earth

the boot strut which holds the boot up it is screwed in to place take the screw out and put your earth wire the put the screw back in

Cheers chaps. Just took my car down to my local Charlie Browns, where the bloke found a point under some carpet on the left hand side, whicj is basically the body. It turned out that the main problem was my leads from the output on the head unit to the amp!!

This is what i thought it was originally, but no-one beieved me!! It feels sooooo good to have my sounds back after about 3 mnths of drving around without them : )
