i've been having a play with the dynolicious app for the iPhone, i only managed to get 2 runs :(

the first, i ran out of road and had to brake before i managed the full 1/4 mile.

Stats:

0-10mph = 5.20sec
0-20mph = 6.24sec
0-30mph = 7.35sec
0-40mph = 8.89sec
0-50mph = 10.38sec
0-60mph = 12.14sec
0-70mph = 14.98sec
0-80mph = 17.61sec

60' 6.93 sec @ 25.3mph
330' 11.24 sec @ 53.1mph
1/8 mi 14.76 sec @ 68.8mph
1000' 17.82 sec @ 80.9mph
1/4 mi 20.37 sec @ 90.7mph

max speed 89.8mph
max acceleration 0.46 G's
peak horsepower 140 HP (at the wheels)

and the second run, which is obviously completely inaccurate but still amusing:

1/4 mi 13.30 sec @ 124.2mph

Peak horsepower 384 HP :ROFLMAO:

the first run looks good though, need to subtract almost 5 seconds from all the times though as the software hasnt allowed for reaction time disappointingly :(

i've got this working properly now i have a windscreen mount :)

0-60 in 6.26 Seconds (y)

1/4mi in 14.92 @ 103.0 MPH (y)

not bad for a hearse but i still think i can shave some time off the 0-60 and 1/4mi as my launches have been terrible so far.

lol amusing :). I've put a clutch in my coupe from a Alfa 3.2 GTA . Hope it lasts a bit longer than the standard coupe one.

i'm currently on a standard Valeo clutch i fitted when i built the car, about 8,000miles on it now and its been fien so far but i am starting to get a bit worried, escpecially with such harsh launches.

i think i might skip the GTA clutch and go straight to a paddle once this one dies.

Aye they get a lot of welly in a 20VT from the shear neck ripping torque!.

So do you reckon thats pretty accurate except for the fact it relys on human intervention?.

there is next to no human intervention ;)

i've had to set the trigger point to 0.16 G's as it was starting the run while i was revving the engine previously, now it ig starting when i bring the clutch up as it should.

there are some people who posted a video on youtube comparing it to a G-tech device and a 1/4mi drag strip, Dynolicious compared much better and was accurate to a coupe of tenths of a second (y)

my previous runs were pretty consistantly around the 6.7 Seconds to 60 but with poor starts, i just got it better on this run, still room for improvement though IMO.

when i get a chance i will get the car to Santa Pod and do some comparisons for myself.

Nah I've got a HTC Touch Diamond (Windows Mobile 6.1) as a Phone mainly because its got proper Microshaft Exchange support and a Sony Walkman 8gb but I may be persuaded into iPod touch if I can find some good apps lol.

Someone should write one for the Touch Diamond as its got an accelerometer too + tilt sensor etc etc.

Not one to surcome to Apple Branding .
