General Ducato side loading door!

I have an 08 plate Ducato Midi and ever since I've had it, I've had a very annoying problem with the side loading door. In order to get the central locking to work when locking the vehicle, I have to lean slightly against the door so that presumably, the electrical contacts make a connection. I've had this looked at twice under warranty but the problem keeps coming back and is in fact getting worse. Anyone had the same problem? Anyone had it cured, and if so how?

FIrst thing is to check nothing is impending the door such as toolboxes etc...this is the major cause of the issue you have. The other is the push contact on the door, ths can easily be modified by your local Fiat dealer.

have had simular with my van, i found it to be the cable inside th edoor sticking not the actual connection terminals, i cured it by freeing the cable and making sure there was no sharp bends in it. alternativly u could look at the wheel at the top of the door , may be slightly out of line
