General Ducato advice for a newbie please

Hello all and thanks for letting me onto your forum.

I'll be looking to buy a 2007 onwards Ducato in the next few months. I've have started doing the into what I might need as the van is to be converted into a camper.

A couple of quick questions if I may

Is there an issue with gearboxes failing after not much use as I seem to find advice saying their hopeless while others say no issues?

Also, can anyone point me to somewhere I can find the internal dimensions for a MWB with either a medium or high roof please.

Get a final model 2006 2.8jtd instead. I replaced my 2001 2.8jtd with a 2007 2.3 multijet and I hate it. Don't like the mechanics, don't like the way it drives, don't like anything about it.

For the sake of a couple of mpg I would agree, if I was converting again I think I would do a lwb sprinter or crafter. Or do the C licence and convert a community bus like these ones:
