Today my clutch pedal went to the floor and stayed there, and the van left a piddle of brake/clutch fluid on the road. I got home and had a quick look, the fluid seems to be coming form where the pipe goes into the gearbox rather than inside the bellhousing. There seemed to be about 10mm of movement of the pipe in and out of the joint. Is there any chance I could be lucky enough to just have to secure the pipe again? The van had a clutch fitted about 1000 miles ago just before I bought it (as a trade sale) any thoughts/advice before I get stuck in,
Ivan

Well I had a look at this today. I took the air cleaner off and removed the pipe going to the slave cyl. when I pushed it home and re-fitted the pipe, there was no movement. Fresh fluid, bled and clutch again! tho maybe a little close to the floor. The only way I could see to bleed it was take the clip off and let the pressure from the m cyl unseat the pipe and go out the bleed nipple. I'll drive it a few days and see what happens

Update, I've driven the van for the past couple of days and the clutch is now back to it's old self. I can only assume the pipe wasn't properly connected after the clutch fitment, looking at the standard of the rest of work done that wouldn't surprise me
