500 DS Door handle

Hi folks new to this forum...I have a Fiat 500 convertible 2012...my drivers side door handle has completely broken off...I think I have worked out most of the info re replacement and I have a part ordered...
My problem is that the blogs I’ve see so far don’t really seem (to me anyway) explain how to change out the lock part..any advice or direction to a video or guide would be great...

Once you have the handle out, you will see a circlip where the lock comes through to the back of the handle. Prise that out with a small screwdriver. Then put the key in the lock, turn it and pull. The new handle comes with the circlip already in place so you can just push the lock in.

Only today, I had to go to a 500 parked in a row of 10 being prepared for sale. In my hand a Fiat box containing a door handle, driver side. Oh how I miss our 500's

The metal pin in the hinge rots out and fails... not helped by the UK’s salt covered winter roads.. No idea why they haven’t used stainless steel instead!
But I am guessing this is rare in Southern Europe!
