Mine are styling and I couldn't care less if they were illegal. The behave just like DRL's. Come on with ignition. I don't need any other lights on to get them to come on. And although not positioned so they face forward they do work to make my car more visible. At the end of the day they're an extra light that help make me visible. Something is better than nothing. I've driven passed a hundred coppers with them on and not one has batted an eyelid. Same as my HID's. Though not technically legal they're in a nice lens and I point them down slightly to avoid hitting other road users with a high intensity beam of light to the face. Which I get every night without fail for idiots that stick them in old style lamps like the ones on corsa's etc.
