General Drive Shaft

I've got a 2001 Ducato 2.8D Maxi and need to fit a new right hand driveshaft. my van is non ABS but I have got hold of a good shaft but it has an ABS ring on it. other than that the ring it looks identical does anyone on here know if it will fit as I would rather know before I take everything apart.
I'm presuming the ABS ring is just heat shrunk on so it would appear easy enough to just cut it of if the rest is the same and its only the ring stopping it from fitting.

Yes you should be able to cut it off of you need to.
Most impulse rings are sintered and should be quite brittle.
They are normally a press fit on the bell.

thanks Jake,
the left drive shaft arrived today and the ends look identical apart from the ring. looking at the steering knuckle it looks a bit tight so the ring will probably have to come of and it looks like your right it doesn't look like getting it of will be much of a problem (that statement will probably come back and bite me)
