Technical Dpf

:bang: Hi i have a 2006 Multipla 1.9jtd the other week the ERG valve had gone i have that done and now the Dpf is playing up someone has told me i can buy Dpf cleaner. will that work or will i have to buy a new one ?

what do you mean by gone? have you tried a forced regen?

the car has no power and will not get over 3000 rev i have done a 300miles run in the car and has been sitting at 70mph for about 100miles it still the same i dont no how to get it to regen

Can you clarify a couple of things?

EGR valve, how was this done, did you get a new one or was it cleaned?
How do you know the DPF is playing up?

No power above 3k can be a number of things and the best way to find out is either ECUscan which gives real time readings from sensors and shows error codes or a OBDII reader which just shows error codes.

hi the Egr is new and the car was put on a reader that came up that this time it is the dpf

it will tell you on the screen. where do you live? some one nearby may have the kit needed and can do it for a tip

looking on the site at supported cars http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx it looks to me like every thing on an uglybug is doable with the free vesion, if thats right al you need is a laptop or pc with very long usb exension lead and one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....e=ADME:X:eRTM:GB:1123&clk_rvr_id=385151001854

it may be best to join the forum on that site http://forum.multiecuscan.net/ and double check it can be done though before spending money

Doesn't sound like a DPF issue, why not take it to a garage to get diagnosed, could just need a software update.
