My EML is on, fiat ECU scan says it's due to the egr (which I found to be blanked off when I took it off to try cleaning it) I do like my croma but driving it I feel its holding back in terms of power. My question is, as a long term solution whats involved in the egr delete and also if I remove the dpf myself can I take it to be remapped and remove reference to the dpf and egr and then swap the ECU etc. to another croma if mine goes bang? I do like the croma but with mine at 162k I'm thinking if I have any major issues I could buy another, lower mileage one and swap the ECU. Anyone know? I hope my post makes sense :)

try removing the blanking plate and fitting the 3 hole one from fiat, you may fing it solves your problems.

if you put your ecu in another croma you would need the clocks, locks n keys and body computer too, be easier to just copy the new map off the ecu and put it on the new car, ive got tools to do that but not figured it all out yet.

That's just the kind of detailed answer I was looking for. Thank you. I should've mentioned I've tried a blank with holes in but this made the car noticeably worse. Thanks anyway
