Technical Door Mirror Compatability

Hi,

I'm trying to source a replacement door mirror (pass. side) for a 55 plate Multipla. Can anyone tell me if Fiat changed this between the older frog eye type and the newer 2004> facelifted models?

It's on a 1.9 JTD Dynamic Plus model, if that makes any difference.

Those for sale on ebay are either 99-04 or for 05 onwards so it would seem that they changed with the newer model.

Looking at photos of the two I'd be very surprised if they are any different, but I don't have much experience of the facelift 'squarenose' Multiplas. If yours is a 55-plate, you may just get away with running your VIN through ePER - see the link at the top of the page, in the blue bar. If it works, that will give you the correct part number for your car.

It's more important to make sure that you get a mirror with the right number of wires coming from the white connector plug. Five(?) wires is for the basic mirror with electric adjustment and heating; seven wires is the folding version; nine wires is the Full Monty with the little blob on the bottom edge of the mirror housing for the climate control exterior temperature sensor (found on the driver's side mirror only).
