I have been given a genuine dog guard for my Ulysse (new shape) but I can't see where this should fit in the car. It has fixings at the top, two at the side and two at the bottom. I'm assured its for this model. Am I just being a bit dim?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Matt

Hi

Poggy has a dog-guard in his Ulysse - fixings are at the top, under some flaps BUT you may need some clips.

Let me use search and find the relevant thread ;)

Thanks for the reply - should've used the search function I know...(y)

Anyway, I have looked at the car and cannot find the covers/flaps . They are listed in the handbook, but in the car the headlining extends down to the windows. The only things similar that I can see are the holders for the rearmost blinds - but these are too far back and clearly for another purpose! I have uploaded a photo to show the side/rooflining.

Any ideas? Does my car have a different arrangement or am I still a bit dim?!

Many Thanks

Matt

Wow yours doesn't have them at all!
Wish i could swop you with mine.
I have them dont' need them and they keep popping open all the time.
Last roof lining I had I glued them shut but haven't got round to it this time.

OK, I've found out that apparently even the flaps are not standard fit for my Ulysse. The flaps will also need to be purchased and the rooflining cut away to fit them and the loops. I'll be off to the dealer then!

Yes you need the brackets which are normally under the plastic covers (which you don't have). I had the plastic covers but no brackets and according to the instructions for the dog gaurd they should be standard fit so I persuaded the dealer to give them to me under warranty (which they did).

All you have to do is slot the top mountings in and then hook the two hooks uner the retaining rings in the boot and push the clips up to lock in place. You may need to adjust the hooks by turning them until you get them right.

It is a great dog gaurd when you get it in, it's so strong you can hange things off it.

Hi,
I'm glad I found you guys, picked up '04 Dynamic at the weekend and dog guard turned up today, to cut a long story short I soon realised the brackets pictured in the instructions were missing.

Rang 3 dealers and got 3 answers!!!!!
1/ Don't have a clue mate, must have been removed by somebody!(n)

2/It will take me ages to find it, can't you bring it in to have a look at it.:bang:

3/Don't know, can't see it but I'll ring Fiat tech' tomorrow and get back to you.

So I guess what I'm asking is ...........

Does anyone have a part number or the number of a HELPFUL dealer?

I got the guard for a song on ebay so I don't even mind paying for them if I can find a dealer who knows they exist.

Cheers

I got my answers on the Eurovan website - all the part numbers and everything - try and searxh for cargo guard or by my username matt_burton to find the right thread.

I am afraid i finally didn't go through with fitting this guard as the dealer (combined Peugeot/Fiat place) sold me a merry dance with the whole thing. I eventually decided against going through the pain of getting the roof lining all cut up - didn't want to trust the dealer and didn't want to do it myself.

I have found that there is a dog guard available from Citroen dealers that fits directly into the rear parcel shelf mounts and to the hooks on the floor. It is one piece construction and is really substantial.

This means no nasty cutting etc. - and it works a treat. All this for less than £75 inc VAT and 5 minutes fitting by me!!!!:)

I think it is part number VAS160 on the Citreon website.

Cheers

Matt
