Doblo Doblo, steering wheel options

Hi, forgive my stupidity but is it possible to fit a 500 abarth steering wheel into a Doblo, will the airbag work, will it even fit, is there anyone that could shine any light on this for me, the Doblo is also a 2007 so there would be quite an age gap between the cars if that’s required info.

The earlier fiat 500 used a dual stage airbag, your doblo would not support that airbag, it’s likely the wheel itself would physically fit as they have a similar splined fitment, but whether or not they have exactly the same number of splines I don’t know.

The doblo is essentially a punto.

Thanks for clearing that up, so would I be better looking at a punto wheel then? Would I need to keep to the same gen, I’m basically now wondering if a abarth punto wheel would fit lol

Be aware the Punto Grande is a Corsa underneath so all the fittings are Vauxhall/Opel, not Fiat.

Hi, I see this is an old post, however I hope this will help if you are still looking for a new wheel. I bought a wheel that looked exactly the same as my 2017 Doblo when it was almost new, it had a larger spline hole and didn't fit, I cant remember what it was off though, so after a bit of research I found the Fiat 500 had the same spline set up, I found a newer model 500 Abarth set up with a single stage air bag and fitted it, been on for a couple of years and never had a problem, just take the usual precautions relating to air bag safety when changing over and you should be OK.
