Hi all
Hope all is well
Right racking my brain here
2.0 Multijet doblo
Suspected turbo seals as excessive smoke and oil leaking exhaust manifold
New turbo fitted
Still leaking oil
Have been told possible PCV valve stuck but where the heck is it!
took oil breather /separator off and cleaned
Still the same
Any help be much appreciated
Regards
Steve
First I would look in the turbo inlet side pipe from air filter, if it is oily there, then suspect breather/pcv pipe area. If that area is dry/no oil, just for peace of mind check new turbo has no excessive play in spindle (they are not always good quality depending on source).
Are you noticeably using engine oil, is there more "blow by" if you undo the oil filler cap with engine running, there will always be some/more than on a good petrol engine. Is so then piston wear can be another area to check.

What sort of mileage has the Doblo done and has it been driven hard?
My current one has 106,000 miles and runs clean, I did have a spare one, ex parcel delivery vehicle with 188,000 miles that ran clean once warm, but white smoke on start up due to poor compression (heater plugs were OK) but it didn't burn engine oil.
On a 1.6 2010 Doblo I bought the turbo was shot and even after fitting a good new one it took some time for the oil to clear from the intercooler and hoses.
I tested for this by carefully holding a piece of A4 paper over the disconnected hose between turbo pipe and inlet manifold and revving engine it soon got covered in oil , until it finally cleared.
Note, if trying this make sure to move the hose clear of inlet manifold and be sure to not let anything suck in to engine,
