Do I need a radio code?

Hello, Just picked up a 1.4 8v dynamic with B&M and am loving the facilities in the computer.

However I have a problem with the media player saying its playing but no audio.
One of the fixes I have seen is to pull the battery lead for a while.
(I assume to reset the computer).

So before I do this I'd like to know if I need a radio code/system code when connecting it up again?
If so am I able to get this from the system at all?

The sound system guide mentions a code card which I do not have.

Any advice is appreciated.

You only need a code if the unit is fitted to another car as the canbus system in the existing car will talk to the head unit and it'll know it's not been pinched or stolen

Cheers - I can unplug without fear of messing the radio up now then.
(If it resets any settings then I'm fine with that - in fact I may just do that anyway).
