do any handles fit any car?help!

wanted to delock and dehandle but too pricey and can cause problems etc! corsa rear door handles are flush to the car, will these fit or do i need other fiat ones? help much appreciated!!!

I've thought about this before too,

i have seen thigs like Audi handles on golfs but they're all fairly similiar to start with?


i would have thought as long as you can connect it up so that it pulls the right way? i havent ever really looked at handles so not sure how they work?

i'd guess our handles pull horizontally? and most handles which are flush against the body of the car pull vertically? i dont know if that makes any difference at all?

you can de lock easily using brava rear door handles on the front of your bravo/a

If anyone is brave enough to de-lock their Bravo/a then they have my huge respect! Given the number of emails I receive from people who cant get into their car without setting the alarm off and having experienced the unreliability of the Fiat CODE system and keys you are a lot braver than me!

If you do fit different handles be very carefull when you do the fit as the handle areas will take a lot of abuse over time, especially in winter if your door freezes shut. Any weakness in any filler, weld etc will cause problems and make it look shite.

You also need to esnure that the new handle gives enough leverage over the right distance and at the right angle so as to open it efficiently otherwise the same thing will happen as in the above paragraph.

I'm fitting a set of mk2 Marea Weekend rear door handles which don't have the lock barrels to my Bravo.
I'm just waiting to have them painted.

Si you seem to have like an entire spare bravo in mods which bought but havent yet fitted to the car
