my alloys need a refresh but it is just paint, the kerbing is only the paint so no damage to the actual alloy

chipsaway will refurb for £50 each but that still adds up to £200 for a cosmetic job.

what are the options for DIY?

i have had powdercoat before and don't want to go down that route...

i have just bought a spare alloy so I can tackle the wheels one at a time.

I completely refurbed my wheels with £50 and a local halfrauds.

I had shallow kerbing on the metal so sanded down the bumps, went with filler primer as a base coat, sanded that smooth and degreased the wheel, then one large Halford can of metallic paint per wheel. Then clear coated.

It took two days from start to finish, and this was mostly waiting for the layers of paint to dry.

Here's two Aussies to show you how to make it look Maaaaaaad
