How (if it's even possible) do you get the glass to part with the plastic casing of the rear view mirror (without breaking anything)?! Presumed it's clipped in, but is it possibly to un-clip it...?

Aye - the mirror stuck on the inside of the windscreen allowing you to see your rear view
dont think it comes apart shown as one item on eper

Should be clipped in you got to pull quite hard towards the headliner.
i'm confused now, do you want to remove mirror from windscreen or remove mirror glass from the mirror case?

Take the glass out of the actual plastic casing it sits in. Getting it off the windscreen was the easy bit...
