Hi I hope some one can offer some advice,I want to check for loose/broken or corroded connections and wires on my x250 2.3 (2011).If I disconnect the negative terminal on the battery will this prevent damage to the ECU and will this cause any problems when I re-connect the battery. The radio is after market and doesn't need a code. Please take a look at my post about ENGINE WON'T REV ABOVE 2750 rpm. Thanks for reading this post, hope some one can offer some advise. Thanks .again

just disconnect it at the battery and youll have no issues turn the lights on briefly to remove any surface charging of the battery .Are you talking about maximum revs at idle? or whilst running ? some ecms wont allow maximum revs without being in gear as a form of self preservation Cheers Adam
