Disaster!!!

The bad luck strikes again! the punto has had a bump , whilst parked up, someone in a grande punto slid into into the front of it in the snow!!

can't really blame them, they were trying to avoid a Range rover that had stopped because the woman driving was too scared to move it, so she cause TWO accidents, when a scenic later went into a wall trying to avoid her

the damage aint that bad to be honest, the bumpers cracked, the front mesh has split. and the bonnet has a tiny dent in it, oh and the number plates fallen off. its all very light cosmetic damage, but still, why does it have to be my car that gets the damage?

At least you know what happened and i presume you got all details of those concerned....

i don't know, i must have killed millions or something!!!, im sure i havent broke any mirrors in the past 7 years or so, so it cant be that.

yeah, i have all the details, 3 witnesses and a police report, so im well covered for details this time

the police man was more interested in my car than what happened, he used to have an hgt too, along with a few accord type r's and the likes, haha

it's gutting though, i'd taken such care driving there and realised the punto with wide tyres is BLODDY AWFUL in the snow!!!, its beyond scary... all i can say is, grandes cant be alot better

even my phones against me!!, i went out to take pics at tea time and as soon as i got outside, the phone battery died.... that on top of my camera deciding it also needed a special sort of battery was seriously annoying. i'll hopefully get pics tomorrow when it should be heading into a bodyshop for an assesment.

I don't know where the hell anyones going to find a new abarth bumper for the repair. i've searched every outlet i know of and i cant fine even one!!! getting one of them found is what im most concerned about tbh, there as rare as pigs stilettos atm

theres probably ony about 50 or so sprint blue hgt's with the abarth kit on in the whole of the uk as it wasnt a standard abarth colour. if you include the yellow and black ones, your probably still only looking at about 8000 or so abarth kitted puntos i would imagine. maybe a few more sportings with them added later i suppose, but any way you look at it, there not exactly widley available parts it seems

at least the car is totaly mechanically unscathed from the bump, the only strange thing thats happened is the bumps disturbed an earth of some sort, so if you indicate right with dipped beam headlights on, every bulb in the light flashes.... im guessing whats happened is either the plugs got disturbed or the dipped bulbs springs popped off. seeing as i replaced these last week or so ago, it seems likley something i put back together has popped off!!!

hopefully the car will be back looking well again by next week

Cheers , if all else fails, i'll get them to have a look at them , i'd have them remeshed though
