i've taken my injectors out to replace the copper washer as the injectors where leaking ,everything has gone great until the last one, i was tightening up the allen bolt and the stud has sheared of leaving me no way to secure the last injector .Can anyone suggest a fix

Only thing you can do is remove the broken stud and replace it with a new one.
cheers for the reply ,is the stud threaded at both ends so it is possible to remove by unscrewing it ,i have tried grabbing it with pliers but it isn't budging

If it has an allen head, then it was originally a bolt. If it has a nut, then it's a stub. Either way, you'll probably need to drill the center of the part that's stuck in the head and use an Easyout to remove it.

i've looked on eper and found the part and it looks like a threaded bar that screws down into the head ,so i am hoping i will be able to unscrew it with some pliers and replace it with some threaded bar

Good thought process to check on Eper that the thing is threaded.

I'd heat it a little and use penetrating fluid, you're only going to get a couple of goes before it either shears or grinds away so try to get as much force on it as you can.

How much stud is showing? Is there enough to cut a thread to put a lock nut on it?

There is about 2 inch showing above the head ,basically only the thread has sheared off leaving a smooth shank showing so i have thought of nipping out and buying a tap to thread the shank in situ and use a nut or the original allen nut to secure the injector bracket as i cannot move the stud

Success ,a little heat,a squirt of wd40 and a pair of mole grips has removed the stud ,i had some 3 inch high torsion bolts in my box of bits so i cut one down and have now secured the injector fired her up and babies purring like a kitten .So many thanks to all that responded to my panic

While i am here i will say that i was surprised how easy the injectors came out ,when i have cleaned up and put my gear away i will describe how i did it with basic tools in a new thread

If this is the first instalment of "i will describe how i did it with basic tools in a new thread", I'll wait for the Youtube clip.
