Just published on Honest John Classics: purportedly, the Uno is the sixteenth fastest disappearing car from/on British roads. Very sad....

And honestjohn failed to mention that the disappearing Uno was another quantum-leap CotY winner in its day - and the 124 likewise in1967 - followed by the 128 in 1970 - the 127 in 1972 - a period of uninspiration apart from the Lancia Delta in 1980 - return to form with the Uno in 1984 - the Tipo in 1989 - and the Punto in 1995. in other words every major new Fiat model through that classic 30yrs (apart from the Ritmo/Strada) was an unchallenged game-changer at its launch. Unfortunately, since then, the others have learned the lessons and Fiat has not retained that supremacy.

Disappearing from this forum as well... I remember when there'd be two pages of new posts every day, rather than half a page per month!
