dirty and sticky!!!

hi,
been driving my cinq sporting for a few days, interior is very clean apart from steering wheel, theres such a build up of grime and sh*t that its now getting all sticky and orrible.:yuck:

i've tried the baby wipes route which normaly cleans anything up but they won't touch it

whats the best thing to clean it off with?

if thats the case it could be leather, leather in some cases tends to go sticky as it looses its suppleness

my oldmans focus has a leather wheel and it began to crack and become sticky I gave it a real good coat of this:

left it a couple of hours then wiped away the excess then lightly buffed it its not perfect but its 90% better than it was and no longer sticky

Cheaper still, small neat drop of 'star drops' or 'Fairy Liquid' clean steering wheel, then treat with a little bit of olive oil on the leather. Let it soak in a few minis wipe and duff off.

Simple and not expensive

Try one of the proprietry Foaming cleaners that foam up big style but get into almost all dirt. Depends what the cr@p on the wheel is TBH, for example, road tar would be a b@gger to shift with any cleaner but petrol would shift it (stinks tho)!
