Having looked at the numerous 500D reference pictures that are available on the net, I would say that is the correct badge for a 500 D, the later 500's have the square type badges.
If youre still unsure, ask them at Mr.Fiat, but im sure the product description "Fiat 500 N/D Nuova 500 Emblem New,rear emblem for Fiat 500 N/D models." Is a dead give away.

I would think so as well, but I had to ask to be sure. Does that mean that both 500 N and 500 D are called Fiat 500 Nouva? I thought that they were named:

Nouva (57-60)
D (60-65)
K or Giardiniera (60-77)
F or Berlina (65-73)
L or Lusso (68-72)
R or Rinnovata (72-75)

I just thought it would be a bit misleading if i put a emblem that said "500 nouva" on a "500 D" if they are not the same car....

I think the nuova was used to describe the new shape ie: the sucessor to the 500C. So I guess they are all nuovas!

Hmm this makes sense. Maybe that is why other 500 models has the emblem on the motor lid.

Mrfiat.com just told me this:
" That emblem is correct for the Nuova and the D model and is commonly found on all 500 models with suicide doors"

the nuova fiat 500 was the first 500's ever produced, this is your correct badge. they began production in 1959.

i have the 500L emblem. on the engine lid
