dial to control air flow direction is sticking

Hi, I've noticed that the dial which controls the direction of the air flow on my 08 Grande Punto wont turn fully to the left. It works fine at all other settings but when I try to turn it to the left most setting it resists. I can turn it to this setting but then it springs back to the setting next to it when i take my hand off the dial.

I've searched the forum for a solution to this problem, and found that it is exactly the same problem as this..

I'm not sure how to fix this myself though. Are there any guides or pictures for this kind of problem? or do you think I should just take it to a garage to get it fixed? :chin:
