i didn't think to much of it me and my mate both used it to clean both our cars and it just got abandoned in his shed streaked like mad! had to rewash my car, personally i wouldn't use it again but others might disagree with me on that matter
John :)

Ah really. Don't fancy doin me whole car after washing it to just end up washing it again like. Can you recommend anything else you thinks good to get a good shine on your car?

I just want to correct you here, the clay bar will NOT have created the shine, it only removes surface contaminants.

The Lube you were using may have contributed to the shine, or the car would have had a good layer of wax / sealant in the bodywork before you clayed it.

OP I've not used spray on shine, but use pour on shine as a Quick Detailer and can't complement it enough myself :)

I cleaned my car with a wax free shampoo at the weekend. Washed it twice as it was so dirty the gave the whole car a very good polish(super resin polish by autoglym) , left that to haze up whilst I was In the shower then buffed it up after. Came up beautifully. Then some autoglym quick detailer to add a bit sealing to it. Enjoy ;)

I used demon shine on my Punto when I had it and it seemed to work perfectly well, it caused massive streaking on my stilo and left a weird film on the car.

Now use a non-wax shampoo (meguiars), claybar (g3), polish and wax (meguiars) when detailing the car. And for deeper scratches I use a 3m cutting compound and an orbital buffer. This normally takes about 4 hours including a hoover and wipe down of the interior.

For intermittent washes I use a half concentrate of non-wax shampoo and a quick-detailing spray. This takes perhaps twenty minutes.

To get a shine like a new car you will need to put in a few hours elbow grease! Also spend some time to find the products that work for you (meguiars stuff smells amazing btw). 'Shortcut' detailing products like demon shine can be alright if you're short of time, but there's nothing quite like the satisfaction of a properly detailed detailed car!
