Hi guys... good news, managed to get my Marea Weekend fixed.
After going through the motions... https://www.fiatforum.com/marea/127066-marea-not-starting.html I spoke to my father-in-law and he came round. He disconnected the fuel line into the throttle body, a little petrol came out... still thinking along the lines of running out of petrol. Had a look a wee look and went 'aye...'.
Then he said 'have you tried bump-starting with a tow?' and I said 'No'. I towed him... out of 1st into 2nd... he pinged the clutch and cough, splutter it started - aaarrrggghhh! I felt like such a dummy... which I am - I admit. But I was also relieved cause if that didn't work, we were gonna tow it to the garage.
So problem solved... and one to remember.
