I apologize if this is covered somewhere else, but I have been unable to find anything after several searches.
Now that the cold weather has hit, I have moved my project into the garage and begun to dive in! This included pulling the wood dash insert to replace/repair some gauges. Unfortunately in doing so I discovered that the part of the dashboard that holds the nuts for the chrome thumb turn bolts that hold the wood insert in place have completely fallen apart. Now I am finding it a real challenge to put everything back together. I don't really want to replace the entire dash, as the PO did a good job putting a cap on it.
Has anyone run into this issue before? Any creative idea to fix this issue? Any help would be appreciated.
David
