General dash speakers

does anyone know where i can get some new speakers to fit the ones in the top of the dash. cos mine were making a rattaling noise i removed the cover to find that they are compleatly worn around the edges, so much so that u can actually put ur finger between the cone and the rubber. i do like loud music:slayer: so they must be able to handle a loud volume.

I fitted Blaupunkt 4x6 speakers. They fit well.

the cheapest 6X4 speakers i could find were £50! so i was cheap and bought some 10cm ones. and they're held in place with a lot of double sided tape. doesn't sound too bad though.

hi mate hmm front speakers, iv got 13cm vibe speakers n tweeters, a lil moding will be needing to be done but not if u measure the hole then let me kno what price ur looking at. I luv my ice, iv got 13cm frnt speakers wiv tweeters, vibe 6x9s and 10" vibe sub wiv a jvc head unit..and it pumps hard..

just wanna know how could u fit 6x9`s in front dash
i got those on the back and they`re extremely large for dash
so plz tell me what mod u`ve done
coz i want some of that pumpin u talk about

I fitted some 6x4 speakers last year (Fenner from eBay), but had to slice out a lot of the plastic around the hole to get the bigger magnets etc into the dash. Worth the effort though.

I fitted some JBL speakers to the dash direct replacement will dig out the model number they are ace

thanks guys. i found some jbl gto6427 speakers that can just fit in the mountings but the plastic cover wont fit over the top, has anyone had (and solved) this problem b4 cos the speakers sound really nice and they were only £40. or if anyone knows where i can get some other speakers asap that i can just swap straight over from the standard ones.
