General CV Joint Grinding X1/9

Has anyone here had a problem with the X1/9 cv joints grinding on the engine crossmember? I thought that maybe the crossmember was bent, so I bought a new one and it is still grinding. Could it be the engine mounts sagging? I'd love to hear from anyone who might be able to help!
