I know there's plenty of posts about this but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Today on the way home from work the injector light came on in my 899 and the car suddenly 'cut' out. The car was at operating temperature and I was doing a constant 60 mph. After a few seconds power was restored after dropping speed to about 50 mph. The light came on a couple more times and the car cut out but returned to normal much quicker than the first time.

I done some homework on this site and decided to clean up the engine earths and the TDC/Crank sensor. The earths didn't look too bad and the sensor a little dirty, after refitting I checked the gap and I could just get a 1.4mm feeler blade in there - Haynes manual says it should be 1-1.5mm so I guess thats ok.
Took it for a test and the light came on a couple of times, both times a slight judder being felt. When I got home I remember in the posts I'd read that vacumn leaks can cause problems so with the engine running I had a listen and heard a hissing. There was a split in the engine breather where it goes into the Throttle body - could this contribute/be the cause of the cutting out?

I look forward to any answers/ideas/suggestions,

Mark

Are you talking about the breather pipe that comes off the rocker cover? As I meant the one that comes from the throttle body, the smallest one that oins one one from the rocker cover. Or does it not matter which one it is?

Since I've spliced in a new piece of hose the light hasn't came back on, all seems ok so far... Mind you it's only been 3 journeys!

Thanks.
