how do i go about cutting holes in the mk1 s bumper to fit fog lights? i know there is an in-dent where they go, but where abouts do i cut, at the edge of the in-dent or what? and do i use a jig saw to cut?

dont know for a punto but you cn drill a pilot hole and then use the jigsaw.if its akward then drill a few pilot holes to make it easier.be careful if your working at funny angles with the jigsaw and watch for it jumping.
if its not to tough you can use what i use for litttle cutting jobs,a stanley knife saw blade(b&Q etc)

the bumper i have, has a splitter moulded on the bottom and the bump strips all smoothed, so i want to cut the holes in this onedave said:just buy a bumper off dave with holes already there
are the screw holes in it for the lights?
a manual saw would be better jigsaw melt plastic an get all messy an stuck
Something called a drywall saw would be good for this. Its a bit like a small breadknife with a vicious set of teeth. If the fogs are a round fitting you would do best with a holesaw.

no, its just smooth on the back, and just like a normal s bumper on the front.dave said:

dont do it. i done it about 6 months ago and it looks crap i wish i had just bought the bumper with the holes already cut. its not lined up properly and keeps on bouncing all over when i go over speed bumps and things. and yes its been screwed in.
About 10 minutes cut and cizeling,5 to straighten it,5 to paint,dry and varnish from quality spray,10 to drink a bear and dry,5 to tape,30 second to apply tube black seal and glue silicone,a little work to finish,wait a little to dry...Later I will smooth it ...
